For Goodalls lab I tried to make the spaces more uniting and harmonious, as per her relationship with nature, this was the effect I hoped to achieve by having the rooms ‘hug’ each other.
Initially I made the ramp to curl quite steeply, I imagined this as Hawking still coming to terms with the universe, how it works and why it exists; as stated in the quote. As the ramp and Hawking get closer the meeting place the ramp straightens signifying the solidity of his knowledge and idea.
