Swallow/Piccinini: mutation/meticulous
Patricia Piccinini’s works and the way in which they are made vary. Her practice is conceptual, and thus methods and media which best suit her concept are adopted. She often works in video, computer-manipulated photography and sculpture. In her 2002 work “The Young Family” materials used include silicone, polyurethane, leather and human hair. Photography was used as a documentation of this installation.
